ActivLab ThermoGenic Fat Burner Review

1star

Initial Thoughts:

Black and slightly weird graphics, this product is aimed at men and bodybuilders, you can just tell that which is strange, it isn’t just guys who want to strip fat, if they made it a bit more neutral there is the whole female market to tap in to, according to UN statistics the male/female population is almost a 50% split, therefore they are potentially missing out on a further 50% of sales.

READ: See What The Best Fat Burner Is

L-carnitine – Acetyl-L-carnitine helps the body produce energy. It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes. It is a very popular supplement and widely proven to be active drugs for the therapy of symptoms associated with male aging. Any fat loss tends to be associated with the extra energy provided by this compound which in turn increases exercise.

Bitter Orange (Synephrine) – This is a less potent fat burner which is a relative of Ephedrine.

Green Tea Extract – Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat. One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese. Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect.

Caffeine – This compliments the green tea. It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

Garcinia – Evidence suggests that Garcinia extracts generate weight loss on the short term. However, the magnitude of this effect is small, is no longer statistically significant when only rigorous rigorous clinical trials are considered, and its clinical relevance seems questionable.

N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – Tyrosine is taken for depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the inability to stay awake (narcolepsy), and improving alertness following sleep deprivation. It is also used for stress, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).

Black Pepper Extract – Black Pepper is a source of piperine, a molecule that does not do much on its own but can inhibit enzymes that would attack other molecules. Due to this, it is ingested alongside some supplements to increase their absorption rates.

Cayenne Pepper Seeds – The hot and spicy taste of cayenne pepper comes from capsaicin, a compound found in many hot peppers. Capsaicin is known to boost metabolism, causing the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is also found in our favorite Fat Burner.

Chromium – Chromium stimulates the synthesis of protein and helps keep hunger at bay. Insulin levels are also balanced by Chromium which helps keep your blood sugar levels balanced.

Instructions:

3 pills per day. 4 pills per day is ideal. 3 Pills per day provide you with a combined mass of 1355.04mg.

Good:

There are some great, natural ingredients present which are proven to help fight fat, some of which are shared with our favorite fat burner, Instant Knockout.

It is good to see Tyrosine which can keep tiredness at bay which is great in conjunction with carnitine, especially if you have been at work all day, facing a gym or field session can be an exhausting task.

Bad:

Overall there is an actual lack of content, 1355.04mg is about half of what you get in a good fat burner.

Garcinia isn’t really effective, this should be replaced with something like Vitamin B6 or B12.

Octopamine is found in the bitter orange similar to many biogenic amines related to L-tyrosine that are used as dietary supplements, this includes Synephrine and Hordenine. Octopamine is a banned substance listed by the WADA.

The dosing schedule is not optimal.

My Review Conclusion:

This is sort of heading in the right direction, there’s 5 ingredients that will help burn fat or maintain focus and energy to perform exercise that will in turn burn off those calories.

However, 1 of the ingredients is on the banned substance list, the problem is, unless the consumer is thorough about their research they may miss this and if they participate in professional or even semi-professional sport this can cause problems.

Overall the content is lacking somewhat, well by approximately 50% if compared to the best fat burners on the market and in conjunction with that banned substance I cannot give this a high mark.

My score:

1/5
